Overfill Prevention Valves

Anti-overflow valves are used to automatically limit the flow of liquid when filling the tank when the emergency level is reached. They are mounted on the drain pipe inside tanks with liquid products. Installing an anti-overflow valve is one of the key elements of the safety of use of any installation, significantly limiting the possibility and possible consequences of tank overfilling. In the case of flammable media, overfilling is one of the most common causes of dangerous situations and the most common historical cause of fires in large facilities. Petroster's offer includes two series of anti-overflow valves: ZPP-1 dedicated to gas station tanks and the ZPP-2 series - simple, reliable and universal devices, available in sizes from DN50 to DN200.

Overfill Prevention Valves ZPP-1

ZPP-1 are valves intended for underground storage tanks of gas stations and are designed to automatically interrupt the gravity supply of fuel when it reaches the alarm level in the storage tank. They are dedicated to installation on a DN100 drain pipe and are adapted for installation from the outside of the tank. The service does not require opening the lid, which significantly facilitates regular service. The valve body is made of aluminum and the float is made of a special fuel-resistant composite. As standard, they are equipped with a 110mm long mounting flange, but other lengths (160 and 240mm) are optionally available. ZPP-1 used by leading Polish manufacturers as factory equipment for fuel tanks.

They have an ATEX certificate no. KDB 04ATEX068X of the Main Mining Institute of the Experimental Mine "BARBARA", for the most restrictive conditions, meeting the requirements of class Ex II 1G Ex h IIC T6 Ga. Thanks to this, the series valves can be used in all explosion hazard zones, including zone "0" at temperatures from -30oC to +60oC. The valves meet the requirements of the ATEX 2014/34/EU directive and are manufactured in accordance with the following standards: PN-EN 1127-1:2011 (EN 1127 1:2011), PN-EN ISO 80079-36:2016-07 and PN EN ISO 80079- 37:2016-07. The valves are part of the award-winning "Safe Tank" package.

Overfill Prevention Valves ZPP-2 & ZPP-2S

ZPP-2 and ZPP-2S are intended for underground and above-ground storage tanks for liquid substances. The valves are designed to automatically limit the flow of liquid during fuel delivery when it reaches the alarm level in the storage tank. They come in sizes 2", 3", 4" and 6". They are intended for gravity and pressure drainage, and their design limits the liquid flow to 95% at maximum closure. The remaining throughput of 5% allows the excess product contained in the tanker hose to be drained after turning off the main valve in the tanker. ZPP-2 are designed to work with non-aggressive media, in particular fuels. ZPP-2S version, made entirely of 316L acid-resistant steel, so it can work with all media, in particular biofuels, aviation fuels, alcohols, aggressive and food media. Thanks to its full construction of 316L acid-resistant steel, ZPP-2S does not require a hygienic certificate when used with food media.

They have an ATEX certificate no. Bottom Check Valves

Check valves and bottom check valves are devices protecting against product backflow and pipeline air lock. In the case of above-ground tanks, they can also function as anti-flow valves, protecting the tank against automatic flow of liquid from it. They are compact and modern devices made entirely of acid-resistant steel. The ZSP-01 version is intended for installation at the end of the suction pipeline as foot baskets. ZZP-01, on the other hand, are tubular versions and are intended for installation on pipelines to secure the backflow of the product, allowing the liquid to flow in one direction.

Bottom Check Valves ZSP-01

ZSP-1 valves are bottom check valves with a suction basket of industrial design, made entirely of 316L acid-resistant steel. They are produced in diameters DN50, DN80, DN100, DN150, DN200, DN250 and DN300 and are intended for installation on the suction pipeline in a vertical position. They prevent the product from flowing back into the tank and aerating the pipeline, and when installed in above-ground tanks, they also serve as an anti-outflow valve.

They are made entirely of acid-resistant steel and do not have any elements that require periodic replacement, and are characterized by high tightness and reliability. They have been designed in such a way that suction occurs with a flat surface located at the bottom of the device. This allows you to minimize the dead state of the tank. The valve suction is protected by a mesh, which ensures that impurities are not sucked out of the tank and prevents elements from entering the valve. It has replaceable springs. As standard, it is delivered with the weakest one, which ensures low flow resistance and low force needed to open the valve. For applications where the suction pump is below the installation height of the suction basket and automatic outflow of the product may occur due to the difference in levels, a stronger spring is used, which prevents the automatic outflow of liquid from the pipeline and eliminates the need to use additional anti-flow valves in the installation.

They are ATEX certified for the most restrictive conditions, meeting the requirements of class Ex II 1G Ex h IIC T6 Ga. The valve meets the requirements of the ATEX 2014/34/EU directive and is manufactured in accordance with the following standards: PN EN 1127 1:2011 (EN 1127 1:2011), PN-EN ISO 80079-36:2016-07 and PN EN ISO 80079-37: 2016-07.
